Orbit advises the Early-Stage Deep Tech Investor Mätch VC on the first closing of Fund I.
With over EUR 15m in initial capital commitments, Mätch VC has launched its new venture capital fund from Baden-Württemberg targeting Early-Stage Deep Tech investments in Germany´s and Europe's most promising startups from the industrial sector with the aim of building up world leading technology companies in the fields of Industrial technologies, sustainability and B2B software.
The fund is led by Adrian Thoma, Tim Gegg and Daniel Dilger and builds on a strong investor network of prominent family businesses (such as TRUMPF and Ritter Sport), experienced business angels and institutions in Baden-Württemberg. L-Bank, Staatsbank für Baden-Württemberg is the development bank of the state of Baden-Württemberg in Germany and the anchor investor in Mätch VC. This network is strengthened by the close connection to the innovation platform and catalyst Gründermotor.
Orbit advised Mätch VC on all legal, regulatory and tax aspects of the fund structuring and marketing.
