Orbit advises UVC Partners on Proxima Fusion’s EUR 411 million financing round.

Proxima Fusion has secured financing of more than EUR 400 million in one of the largest funding rounds ever completed by a European DeepTech company, reaching a valuation of more than EUR 2.4 billion. UVC Partners committed EUR 30 million through its two Growth Funds and a dedicated SPV established together with KfW Capital as part of the Germany Fund.

The round was led by XTX Ventures and East X Ventures, with participation from a broad group of new and existing investors, including strategic investors RWE and Google, as well as Burda Principal Investments and Cherry Ventures.

Founded in 2023, Proxima Fusion is developing fusion energy technology based on the stellarator approach and has rapidly established itself as one of Europe’s leading fusion companies.

Orbit advised UVC Partners on the structuring and execution of its investment through its Growth Funds and the co-investment vehicle.
